Popular Sessions
“Elghufs” (bounding with poles) on the hill at Sjusjøen Ski Center: Do two intervals from the bottom of the slope up the steep section of the black trail to Brannhytta. Guaranteed to produce lactic acid!
Easy long run with running shoes: Start at Natrudstilen, then run towards Mostefjell, continue to Snørvillen, then towards Gjestbodåsen, turn left towards Kuåsen, and follow the gravel road back to Sjusjøen. Approximate distance is 25 kilometers. The route can be shortened or extended as desired.
Want to try something new? Bike down to Mesnali and then go horseback riding at Mesna Icelandic Horse Center. On horseback, you’ll engage completely different muscle groups.
Double-poling training in gentle terrain, winter: Start at Sjusjøen Cross-Country Stadium and follow the Birkebeiner trail towards Midtfjell. You can either do an out-and-back, or continue the loop via Gjestbodåsen, Nøkkelåsen, Elgåsen, and Kuåsen before returning to Storåsen and Sjusjøen center. The total loop distance is approximately 22 kilometers.
